Sebastian Signs #17 perfume oil was an unsniffed purchase for me, something I don't try to do too often. Unfortunately, it is not a winner for me. The perfume oil comes in a roll-on, and costs about $45. I just received it today, and am pretty disappointed in it. First of all, I have to put a ton on to even smell the scent. It's a perfume oil, so it's supposed to last much longer than an EDP. But it doesn't. And then, the scent: I don't smell anything but sandalwood and vanilla, but mostly a fake-smelling woody sandalwood. I don't smell ANY raspberry, hardly any chocolate or vanilla. No. 17 reminds me of Annick Goutal Vanille Exquise for some reason. Not completetly, but it's got something similar, maybe the woody chemical-smelling vanilla. It smells really clean in a weird way. Not a very sweet and gourmand perfume, which may suit some people better than it suits me. Not my thing. I love vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, and I'm throroughly disappointed to find these notes not very prominent. And the poor lasting power. Not happy. But, I will wear it because it's not awful, just not what I was hoping for. You live and learn, at least when it comes to buying untried products. Try this one if you can, before you buy it. Notes: vanilla, raspberry, chocolate, and sandalwood.
