Disappointing color for purple lovers--looks like a complex purple in the bottle, but is a warm, too dark, unflattering reddish-pink on my nails.

I really like this shade as I'm uber pale so 2 coats shows really well with my skintone. It goes on really smooth for me. I use Seche Vite as a top coat so it dries very fast and the colour lasts days. I put an extra coat on and to me it looks perfect. The green shift is so cool. Even my sig other liked it;) it hasn't chipped or anything. Dries relatively fast and looks nice on my pale skin. I personally like 3 coats to me that's perfect. Two was good but I wanted the extra opacity. I love the shifts in the shade and purple is my favorite colour. Great Spring shade as well:) Recommended!

I actually already bought one yesterday :) this is such a playful colour! Does not look nice on my short nails against my pale skin, but when it gets long, ohhh...! I just stare and look at my nails for long to see all the shades of it. Beautiful! Needs 3 coats, little sheer.. It can get streaky, but try matte top coat and then seche vite on it!

@Gofaster719 medium skin is nowhere near dark skin. If you look at models also on makeup posters/magazines. the light/fair medium all look the same in complexions. Sandra bullock/kim k/megan fox/catherine zeta jones has been described as medium..does that

I love SOC for all the reasons many people seem to not care for it. It is indeed sheer. However, I have olive and gold tones to my skin tone. As a result, the green/gold tones enhance my hands. Matter of fact, I'm not a lilac fan. However, the lilac gives a nice complimentary touch to the overall nail glow. I found it at a nail salon and looked all summer for it. I asked at a local cosmetic store. At the time, they said they were out of it. I returned to the store a few weeks later and discovered it. I bought two bottles out of fear that it might be discontinued. I believe the sheerness of the color looks great on medium to olive skin tones and not necessarily for fairer skin. It's subtle. I tend to be conservative with my approach to nail color. I'm from the old school. I am not into neons and nail colors like navy blue or chartreuse. The only glitter I like is on a poster board. I will experiment with the color over some nude shades. However, alone with only 2 coats is perfect for me. Bravo OPI!!
