Nioxin - System 2 Scalp Treatment has been working so far

I have been using this for about 10 years (since I first noticed significant thinning) and it seems to have kept things from getting worse. I can't say that I have had much new growth, but I have not had more thinning and am happy with that.

Just purchased Nioxin Scalp & hair treatment

I use Nioxin cleanser followed by Nioxin Scalp therapy both rinse out thoroughly then I applied scalp & hair treatment but there are no instructions so I left it in and it dried hard and stiff on my hair I guess I should rinse it out?? In the past I purchase Nioxin scalp treatment w/directions to leave it in and I loved it. It stopped the itch immediately and left my scalp pink instead of red. Do they still make this one? I don't like the new one w/o instructions on it that leaves my hair very stiff and gummy
