Why choose one color when you can choose many? According to Allure, one of spring’s biggest nail art trends is gradient nails. It’s a great way to wear many of your favorite colors at once and with the new season in full bloom, now’s the time to experiment with color or play with neutrals for a more subtle look.
According to Glamour U.K., the gradient manicure uses two or more shades to create the illusion of a subtly shifting rainbow of colors. This trend has even made it onto the runways. United Colors of Benetton sent models down the Milan Fashion Week catwalk with rainbow nails made up of five different shades.
To create your own gradient manicure at home, simply choose your 5-10 polishes and create your unique look. Whether you’re going for something loud and bold or soft and subtle, this is definitely a spring look worth trying! We recommend starting with the new Essie Serene Slate collection, which includes a palette of grays, blues, and purples.
