The Zoe Report recently published an article about the three fall 2018 nail trends we'll be seeing this season. The results were no surprise. The top three nail polish shades are ones you probably already have - reds, neutrals, and pinks. These colors look great against any skin tone, and The Zoe Report has put together a guide to help you pick the best shade for you.Â
Crimson Reds
KISS celebrity manicurist Gina Edwards calls red a "safe anchor color." It completes any look, but it's especially great for the upcoming holidays.Â
Fair Skin
Edwards suggests that lighter reds are better against fair skin complexions.Â

Rich Neutrals
Sally Hansen Global Ambassador Madeline Poole says that bright neon hair and makeup have been popular trends on the runway and people need a break from those shocking palettes. Neutrals are great if you want to tone down your look or you want something that's more low maintenance.
Fair Skin
If you have lighter skin, Poole says to opt for a pale pink. She says it's important to look at the undertones when finding your perfect neutral shade.
Medium Skin
For those with a medium complexion, you'll want to look for a creamy or peach neutral.Â
Deep Skin
If you have a deeper complexion, opt for a rose-colored beige or a coffee/mocha shade to complement the pigments in your skin tone.
Dusty Rose
Celebrity nail artist Casey Herman calls this color an "updated throwback to the romantic and chic 1940s."
Light Skin
Herman says the key is to make sure the color doesn't wash you out. She recommends a soft, almost pastel pink shade.
Medium Skin
If you have a medium complexion, opt for a rosier pink that's slightly more pigmented to avoid graying your skin tone.

Deep Skin
Herman says the general rule is that the deeper the tone, the richer you want the color to be. For those with deeper complexions, go for a darker shade like a mauve.
